I’m meeting with a client on Tuesday who currently has 2 Medicare supplement plan G’s that she’s been paying on both for over 2 years AND she has a Medicare Advantage plan in place. In this scenario, the Medicare advantage plan is primary and technically the supplement policies should not and probably would not pay anything towards her medical care. Since we are still in our OEP (open enrollment period), I plan to help her sign up for a stand alone prescription drug plan which will terminate and replace the advantage plan and then cancel one of her supplement policies. And impress on her that under no circumstance does she speak to strangers over the phone about her Medicare. I am her trusted Medicare agent from here on out!! 🙌
